September is Here – Get a Fresh Start As a New Month Begins

September is Here

& I’m Back!

Time for a Fresh Start!

Initiating solutions to gain a fresh start — sounds like a plan!

I have been on an unplanned extended hiatus from blogging – 7 months, to be exact! Lots has happened over this time, including getting hired for my first ever FULL TIME remote position! I am a now a senior editor for an education publishing company for which I had previously done several contract jobs.

In February, I received a message on LinkedIn asking me if I would be interested in a full-time position, and I started in March. During February and prior to starting that new job, I was also busy wrapping up an instructional design consulting project. The past few months have been quite a transition and I haven’t had much time for anything else.

Now that I have this long weekend and a paid holiday on Monday, I decided it was time to relaunch my blogging efforts by initiating some solutions to the time management challenges.

Initiating solutionscausing the process or action of finding answers to a problem or situation to begin–is often necessary when we need to make changes or a fresh start for some reason. As the opening quote states, gaining fresh energy and getting our minds right, can go a long way toward helping us to look for and initiate solutions for anything we come across during the day.

Learning from our mistakes also comes into play here, because it’s all too easy to get hung up on past mistakes or missed opportunities, and allow that negative energy to affect us so much that we get discouraged and feel like we’re hopeless cases.

Instead, as the above quote says, we should consider yesterday’s mistakes as lessons learned, and use them to help us appreciate each new day and take advantage of the fresh start.

An additional concept about beginning at the beginning to change course, and pursue purpose with new incentive and determination, is the importance of writing your plan and referring to it. I know not everyone who reads my blog shares the same beliefs in God, but some of these principles are still worth considering, whether you want to attribute them to God or reference another “Higher Power” beyond yourself.

If you have been asking God to lead you in the way  you should go, you will have a sense of purpose building in you. You can ask Him to help you plan your day, your week, and your life.

I encourage you to write down the things that God imprints on your heart to do.Writing the vision, and placing it where you can routinely see it, will help settle the plan God puts inside of you.”  —Joyce Meyer

My Reflections

The idea that “every day is a new beginning” – or that we can even have a new beginning in the same day, if the morning got away from us, for example – is a refreshing revelation.

So What Are YOUR Thoughts?

Who’s with me?

Do you feel like you need to make some changes and initiate some solutions in your life, especially as a new month begins?

Let’s make a fresh start together during these last few  months of 2018 in pursuing our respective purposes in our lives!

Whether you trust God or another “Higher Power”  for help along the way, or grasp the principles of the Laws of Attraction and speak positive affirmations over your life, today can be a new beginning on the path to pursuing your purpose.

  1. In my home town September marked the start of Spring and for me it has always brought with it the promise of renewal, be it emotional, mental or spiritual.
Even though we do not share the same belief system I do place my complete trust in the Almighty for all of my affairs.

  2. Congrats on the remote positon. That sounds like a dream! Fresh starts are great. Sometimes it is all we need to see things from a completely different perspective. I took nearly a year off from blogging awhile back. It was just what I needed to clear my head and decide what direction I wanted to go with it and other areas in my life.

  3. With me initially I was so hyped with blogging so I attend and do reviews continously but then I started to slow down as I noticed that my time for a day is not enough anymore for my son. Same thing with my YouTube channel but this I stopped after they consider only with 1k subscribers for monetization. But since last month I started it again. I was similarly like you so I love your tips and advice. Great article.

  4. That’s awesome, congratulations on your new position! I was just thinking about how my plans have not always turned out the way I wanted them too. But, the path my life took instead, has always been greater than I could have ever imagined. God’s plans for us are always bigger and greater and all He asks is for us to lean and trust Him.

  5. Congratulations for your new job position! I am starting new as well, as I have been redesigning my website and getting back into writing.
There is something special about being able to start something new… it gives us hope and confidence in ourselves, even though the unknown is always frightening at some point.
Sending my best thoughts to you!

  6. Wow, congratulation on your new job! It’s a fresh start to be in a remote area. Hope you will enjoy there and may God keep you safe everyday!

  7. Agree! The key is to make sure that you’re able to disconnect past mistakes or failures from the present. It’s learning how to forgive oneself to carry on and live a fresh start.

  8. So lovely to see that you have started blogging again! Such words of inspiration and motivation can make someone’s day! Such positvity is awesome to see. More power to you!
