Happy third Sunday in July!! How’s the weather in your part of the world? We’ve had a few days of very humid weather, and it looks like more is on the way (“heat dome” is what I’ve read – not looking forward to that!) As a person with asthma, I have difficulty breathing on these days when the air is so heavy! I actually enjoyed doing the grocery shopping in the air-conditioned store (no AC at home), and then picking up Coolattas for hubby and me afterward (and it was fun doing the “pay it forward” thing – told the server at the drive-up window to apply my change to the order of the person behind me!) 🙂
Onto today’s rule…
Rule #5 – Learn to Let Go
“Remember, letting go doesn’t mean you “forgive” the person at the grocery store, or you “allow” that kind of behavior. It just means that you release the negative emotion inside of you.
By releasing negative emotions, you’ll not only enjoy much more freedom in your life – you’ll also become more emotionally stable and less stressed too.” — Karl Moore
“By letting it go, it all gets done.
The world is won by those who let it go.
But when you try and try,
the world is beyond the winning.”
This rule fits in nicely with a post I published a few months ago about Setting Down Baggage and Letting Go. If you didn’t get a chance to read it, please check it out!
There’s so much truth to this, even though it’s not always easy to do. Yet, when we set down our excess baggage and let go of burdens we aren’t meant to carry, it really does lead to greater happiness and life seems lighter and more care-free.
So what are YOUR thoughts?
Do you agree in the value of letting go and moving forward?
