So relaxing today, totally different than it usually is on Saturdays. Instead of me getting up and doing chores, and then out to go grocery shopping, my darling hubby took care of those things. I have spent most of today resting, reading, visiting blogs and commenting–using one hand.
Now today we will start a temporary new format until I can get back to “normal.” Today’s post features Brittany Bush on the topic of organizing and spring cleaning. Brittany’s blog is Overdue Organizing.
Q. If you blog about organizing, your home must be perfect, right?
A. Nope! 🙂 My home is far from perfect, but I am always striving for improvement. I always have a running list of projects that need to get done!
Q. What is your biggest organizing challenge?
A. The kitchen table! Right now it sort of functions as a “drop zone” where everything gets set down when we get home at night. I am constantly trying to clear it off and get my husband to put his stuff away as well. I think the fact that we used to work opposite schedules and never had dinner together led us to use the table as a storage space. Now that we are both home in the evenings & have a son, I’d like to start eating dinner as a family at the table!
Q. What home organization projects do you have in the works?
A. I plan to do an entry makeover soon & create a family command center. We’ve been needing this for a long time! Our garage, office, laundry room, master closet, and entry closet could also use some TLC. I doubt I will ever run out of material for the blog!
Q. Where can readers follow you for even more organizing inspiration?
A. I love to share great organizing ideas that I find online with my Overdue Organizing Facebook, Overdue Organizing Twitter, and Overdue Organizing Pinterest followers. There are so many simple, frugal organizing ideas out there in the blogosphere!
Thanks, Brittany! 🙂 I know I certainly appreciate your tips and I plan to see how many of them I can begin implementing even with one hand.
So what are YOUR thoughts?
Are you an organizing genius or could you benefit from Brittany’s tips on her Overdue Organizing blog?
Remember that you can still read Psalms and Proverbs to accompany each day on my page, Daily Scripture Readings. AND you have an opportunity to put compassion into action–whether through praying, sharing the linked causes, and/or donating.
