Here we go, coming down the home stretch to being current with DAILY devotions! Here are my belated March 7th devotional thoughts.
“Lord, what a privilege it is to store Your Word in my heart, where You can use it at any moment to bless me and guide me…to keep me from sinning against You…and to be a storehouse of inspired words that the Spirit can bring to my mind to help others.”
–Ruth Myers in “31 Days of Praise”
“No matter how bad the condition of your life or your circumstances, don’t give up! Regain the territory the devil has stolen from you. If necessary, regain it one inch at at a time, always leaning on God’s grace and not on your own ability to get the desired results.
Don’t be a quitter! Don’t have that old ‘give up’ spirit.
Whatever you may be facing or experiencing right now in your life, I am encouraging you to go through it and not give up!
It’s easy to quit–it takes faith to go through with something.”
–Joyce Meyer in “New Day New You”
-1- I’ve lost track over the years how often certain Bible verses or stories from scripture come to mind, and are just right at that time. Even posting Scripture and devotional thoughts on Facebook has elicited responses and expressions of thanks from people, and it continues to amaze me how timely certain words can be!
-2- I know a few people -including myself- who need to hear this regarding difficult or challenging circumstances that really do make you want to quit out of sheer frustration or discouragement! Yet we can’t allow ourselves to be defeated and not achieve our goals.
So what are YOUR thoughts? Do you have favorite Bible verses or other inspirational writings that often come to mind, that help you or others in the midst of particular circumstances?
Are you going through difficulties right now that make you want to give up? I will certainly pray for you, because I empathize!
