Do You Struggle with Self-Worth?

Do You Struggle with Self-Worth?

YOU Have Value!

YOU, reading this post today:

YOU are NOT useless – you are NOT a hopeless case — you ARE loved and YOU MATTER.

Regardless of what you have done or not done, what your past is like, or where you are today in your life, you should know how special and precious your life is. {{Hugs!!}}

Here is your inspiration for this day…

“God chooses what the world throws away as useless. There are no hopeless cases, no useless people in God’s eyes.

Each of us is His special creation. We are not accidents; and if we will give Him the opportunity, He will restore everything that has been damaged, and help us be someone even we can delighted to be.

Ego thrives on competition and striving to be first, but what is the point of competition? What does it get you?

Not contentment. Not joy.

It can’t get you the one thing that matters–eternal salvation and peace with God. To get that, you have to forsake ego and embrace spirit; and often the ones who have the easiest time doing this are not the powerful, but the meek.

Instead of competition, spirit thrives on cooperation and love; because the only true goal is to know God, and then to help others, through love, to do the same.”

–Joyce Meyer in “New Day New You”

My Reflections

I think it is vital for each and every one of us to know how precious we are in the sight of God.

He wouldn’t have provided a way of salvation through the birth, life, suffering, death, and resurrection of His Son Jesus if we were NOT precious to Him.

So what are YOUR thoughts?

Do you believe you are precious in God’s eyes?

Will you celebrate YOU and do something enjoyable for yourself in the upcoming days, weeks, and months?

  1. The fact that Jesus loves me and died for me gives me all the worth I need. I am worth something to the God of the universe who sacrificed His Son for me. Wow, what a thought.

  2. From a non religious standpoint I think we all struggle with self worth at some point. I know I do but then I think quite a few factors come into play here starting with how we are brought up and what we are thought to think of ourselves.

  3. Self-worth is something we all struggle once in a while. I strongly believe I am worthy of the best and I have that special quality, no one else has. We need to create the positive image of ourselves first in our eyes. Only then we will be appreciated by others. Thanks for this beautiful post.

  4. In 2012 I had a near death experience that changed me into an even more spiritual person. Love and Joy are the most wonderful emotions ever and to have those emotions in life one must help others, to work together to support and accept all because these two particular emotions are not selfish acts, are not gained with competition and judgement. When we love others, we also grow to love ourselves more. A person can gain more self-worth by helping and to me, that’s a beautiful thing ; )

  5. As a young child I definitely did struggle with self worth and self esteem issues. But my mother always told me two things that I repeat to myself whenever I feel those feelings resurface:
    1. Sticks and stones can break my bones but names can never hurt me.
    2. Black is beautiful.
As an adult I have come to realize that any challenges and unhappiness I have experienced in my life have been opportunities for growth and growing closer to the Almighty in my faith.

  6. Life is more than what people would usually see it. There will be good and bad times. But, being optimistic is really helpful. This blog post is really inspirational. Thanks for sharing this 🙂
