Your Choice: Trust in Yourself OR Trust in God

It May Not Seem Like It

When You’re in the Midst of it…

You might wonder whether trusting in yourself is easier than trusting in God. Yet, truly, God moves in mysterious ways at times. In spite of how it looks from our limited human perspective, God some how is at work to bring about good outcomes for us, in line with His plan and will for our lives. It reminds me of this verse from Jeremiah 29:11 (a good life verse) …

So onto today’s inspirational thought.

“Many times the Lord is with us, and we don’t even know it.

God is there with you even when circumstances seem out of control.

He is already working everything together for your good.

Therefore, we should rededicate ourselves to God every morning.”

–Joyce Meyer in “Starting Your Day Right”

My Reflections

It seems we often need to be reminded of God’s presence with us and His hand in bringing us through whatever needs to happen, working all things out for our good.

It sure doesn’t seem like it, sometimes, while we’re going through a challenging situation…yet when we look back–much like the Footprints poem–we can see how and where God worked things out for us.

So What Are YOUR Thoughts?

Do you agree that some how all things really do work out for our good?

Have you experienced this when there seemed to nothing good about a situation, yet it worked out in your favor?

I t can be hard to remember to count on God as he has everything in control but I am trying my best to get better at it and to teach my son to do the same thing.
