You Can Live Differently Today than You Did Yesterday – March 18 Inspiration

You Can Live Differently Today than You Did Yesterday – March 18 Inspiration

Today is not the same as yesterday–or, at least, it doesn’t have to be. We don’t have to carry the problems and negativity of yesterday, last week, or last year (or many years in the past) into our present or our future. We need to adopt this mindset:

I have been busy finishing up projects…so here’s your belated Friday inspiration that you can still think about today!

~~*~~

“All of us have made mistakes in our past–

not one of us is perfect.

But that doesn’t mean we have to repeat

those mistakes in the future.

You don’t have to suffer

from the same defeats of yesterday;

by the grace of God,

you can live differently today.

Your story can get better and better–

you can learn to live in God’s best.

You may not be where you want to be,

but thank God

you’re not where you used to be.”

–Joyce Meyer in “You Can Begin Again”

My reflections:

My favorite part of this quote is: “You may not be where you want to be, but thank God you’re not where you used to be!” Amen!

So what are YOUR thoughts?

Do you find it easy to approach every day as a new beginning?

Do you have a favorite line from any of the quotes or images in this post?

  1. Sometimes we have a hard time looking beyond our mistakes that we fail to move on and start over. That’s something that could hold us back. It takes time to realize that you wake up to a new day everyday and you have the chance to start over.

  2. Every day is a gift and it should be treated as such! πŸ™‚ I really like that part β€œYou may not be where you want to be, but thank God you’re not where you used to be!” – every day is a chance to improve ourselves.

  3. On the days when it’s been hard, especially if I’ve had a tough day with my kids, it’s so nice to know that the next day is a clean slate.

  4. I like to look at each day as a fresh start. I always think about all the blessings in my life when i wake up in the morning and before bed.

  5. When heavy things carry from day to day, it’s hard to think of it as a new beginning. I do think of it as a day to keep moving forward though.
