Spring into SPRING … Facing Imperfections, Marching Forth Into New Life
Happy First Day of SPRING!
Hey, we made it to the first day of SPRING – at least on the calendar! 🙂 How’s the weather in your area of the nation or the world? Here in Maine USA, we still have about two feet of snow on the ground, currently at 27 degrees (8:40am) and sunny. More white stuff predicted later in the week, BUT … it is the beginning of the end of winter, so we can MARCH FORTH into SPRING! 🙂
I like the symbolic nature of spring, representing new life and new beginnings. So here’s to even more transformations and breakthroughs for all of us in this new season! One of the first steps to toward new beginnings and new life is to acknowledge our flaws or imperfections–our weaknesses–and allow God to show Himself strong on our behalf in spite of those weaknesses. As the apostle Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 12:9, upon asking God to free him from an affliction, God’s response was, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.”
So here’s your inspiration for this first day of SPRING – have a great day! 🙂
“God can gain glory for Himself through those who will not let their personal weaknesses stop Him from flowing through them. For God to do that through us, first we must come face to face with the fact that we have weaknesses, and then we must determine not to let them bother us.
Our imperfections are not going to stop God unless we let them do so. If we have our faith in God, and a heart that wants to do right, that is all that is needed.
Pray: ‘Lord, I am glad that my imperfections cannot stop Your blessings. I don’t mind walking with a limp as long as You get the glory and honor. Amen.'”
–Joyce Meyer in “The Confident Woman Devotional”
Yes, facing our weaknesses and imperfections is not a pleasant task–it’s so hard NOT to let them bother us! But I know from experience that I want to continue to trust God and do what’s right–and as the image at the beginning of the post says, I hope to inspire others by how I deal with my imperfections.
And the first day of spring, entering a new season known for celebration of new life, is a good time to address imperfections and develop a new plan to improve and grow.
So What Are YOUR Thoughts?
Do you find it easy or difficult to acknowledge and deal with weaknesses or imperfections in your life?
Do you agree you can inspire others as they watch how you manage those imperfections?
