Rule #8: Invest in Experiences NOT Hoarding Possessions

Rule #9: Appreciate BOTH Sides of the Coin

Rule #10: Be More Social

Rule #11: Love More

Here is today’s rule of happiness…

Rule #12 – Pursue a Dream

Dreams are critical. They light up life.

Without them, we become bored, and tired, and apathetic.

So, take this opportunity to really clarify your dreams.

Take a pen and paper and spend an hour figuring out what you really dream about.

But whatever you do, make sure you have a dream. They’re incredibly important.

Dreams are the spark plugs of the spirit. Make sure yours are ready for action.” –Karl Moore

A person starts dying

when they stop dreaming.”

– Brian Williams

My reflections:

I know I’ve got goals and dreams for the future, but I do need to clarify them and write them down as a visible reminder to keep in front of me. I also need to be more proactive about taking steps toward fulfillment of those dreams. I especially like this statement: “Dreams are the spark plugs of the spirit.

So what are YOUR thoughts?

Do you have dreams for the future?

Does any part of this rule of happiness especially speak to you?

My bliss – quiltmaking!

  1. Right now, my dreams are to make a series of paintings of the Niagara River at different places and at different times of the day and to write a memoir. I’m giving myself two years to make it happen.

  2. I really need to concentrate more on my dreams. Lately, I seem to live more in the present – taking one day at a time – sometimes even one hour at a time. I agree that without dreams we become bored, tired and apathetic. Time for me to get new spark plugs!

  3. I like to focus on the present and experience each moment for all it is worth. There is no time to waste in brooding about the past or worrying about the future.
