Reflect on Past Victories and Encourage Yourself – June 21 Inspiration

at

Reflect on past victories and encourage yourself. Sounds like a plan! It doesn’t do us any good to dwell on our problems. We need to find solutions and then move on. It is difficult sometimes to overcome negative feelings and situations. Yet if we count our blessings and ponder past victories, it will be an encouraging, uplifting experience, and set us up for future success.

Here is your Tuesday inspiration…

“When you feel yourself starting to lose courage,

talk to yourself!

Tell yourself that you made it through

difficulties in the past

and you will make it again.

Remind yourself of past victories.

Make a list of your blessings

and read them out loud

anytime you feel yourself

starting to sink emotionally.

Pray: ‘Lord, I thank You for the victories

You have led me through in the past.

I know that You will lead me in victory today,

and I can overcome. Amen.'”

–Joyce Meyer in “The Confident Woman Devotional”

My reflections:

I can fully relate to this – I talk to myself all the time! Especially in times exactly as the devotional expresses, as a pep talk and to encourage myself as I reflect on all God’s blessings in order to overcome anxious, depressing, or stressful thoughts and times.

So what are YOUR thoughts?

Are you able to refocus and encourage yourself by reflecting on the blessings in your life?

When you think about it, do you agree you have more blessings than problems in your life?

In my weight lost group T.O.P.S couple of things you learn on the way.
Is how to deal with your past hurt and such.
But also you learn to deal with victories. Everyone deserves a pat on the back.

I also learned a similar lesson back when I was on Weight Watchers. If we don’t succeed today, tomorrow is another day. Think of your past successes, which got you here. Start fresh. And, yes, count your blessings. Today will have ample opportunity to do just that.
