On this special day in 2013, my middle daughter Jen and son-in-law Andrew got married at a beautiful destination wedding at the Excellence Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. I am so proud of them both, for their commitment to one another and for their love for each other, for their family and for their friends. I am happy for the way God has also blessed and enriched their lives with a beautiful home and successful careers, as Jen is a registered nurse and Andrew is an accountant.

The wedding was beautiful, and God blessed us with wonderful weather–the best of the several days there, actually! Many family members and friends were able to attend the wedding and then enjoy a few days of vacation with one another among the amazing amenities of the Excellence Resort.

We would love to go back some day for another vacation, but meanwhile, I’m thankful for the special memories of this special day, celebrating my daughter and son-in-law’s wedding and now third anniversary.

My reflections:

Family memories…at least when you have close, healthy family relationships…are among the best memories and are the ones that cause me to feel extremely grateful.

So what are YOUR thoughts?

Do you have special family memories that make you grateful?

Are you participating in my Gratitude Challenge, in your own way (blog, Facebook, personal journal) ?

Thank you, Lord…

What a wonderful post Karen! It is so important to be thankful for all especially in this month of thanksgiving 🙂 I am so grateful for so many blessings in my life and even though I am not where I want to be, I am happy and at peace and that is all that matters 🙂 Thanks for sharing such an inspirational post!
