Do You Have Dreams to Resurrect?

Do You Have Dreams to Resurrect?

Resurrect Those Dreams!

Here’s your Sunday inspiration — have a nice day and be blessed! 🙂

“Isn’t it interesting that sometimes when you ask God for something, He lets it go so long, the only thing that can possibly produce what you asked for, is a miracle?

Why does God do that? Because He likes to ‘show Himself strong on behalf of those whose hearts are blameless  toward Him’ (2 Chronicles 16:9).

If something is dead–a dream, a desire, a want, a need–it doesn’t matter to God how dead it is. God can still bring it back to life in His timing because our God is an awesome God. Nothing is too hard for Him.

That is why He is never in a hurry and why it seems as if He often waits until nothing will work but a miracle.”

–Joyce Meyer in “New Day New You”

My Reflections

Obviously this is where patience and trust enter the picture. The more time that goes by, the easier it is to get discouraged and feel hopeless about ever achieving certain goals or seeing dreams fulfilled. I know there have been times when I thought the little flicker of hope was about to go out, and suddenly, out of the blue, the miracle happened!

So What Are YOUR Thoughts?

Have you given up on any special dreams?

Is there still a flicker of hope left to trust God for a miracle? I’ll agree with you in prayer!

  1. Oh yes, keeping dreams alive I learned long ago is very important. For instance, my current dream that has been alive for many years but is coming very close not to fulfill is driving cross country, alone, without time constraints and explore hidden places, the national parks, etc. and write about it as I drive along. I was very close this year and had semi-prepared but then I fell in Spring from a bike a fractured my arm in two places. Was I disappointed? Sure. But then very soon took it as a signal that my time was not quite ready. God had other plans.
