Let’s be honest – part of the reason many people write blogs these days is to earn a little (or more) residual income and/or receive payment for blogging on certain topics. I’m still learning about that part of blogging, but from what I understand, the ethical thing to do is include a disclosure on the topic, SO… here it is:
This blog is a personal blog written and edited by me, with occasional input and tech assistance from my colleague, Becky. For questions about this blog, please contact “K’Lee (klee at words-encouragement dot com)”.
This blog accepts forms of cash advertising, sponsorship, paid insertions or other forms of compensation as a means to earn residual income. I consider these items and services carefully as something I have purchased or would likely purchase myself before I link to them from my blog.
The compensation received will never influence the content, topics or posts made in this blog. All advertising in the form of advertisements generated by a third party ad network will be identified as paid advertisements.
While the owner of this blog may receive compensation by an independent company for posting about specific businesses or individuals , I am not compensated by those businesses or individuals to provide opinion on products, services, websites and various other topics. The views and opinions expressed on this blog are purely my own. If I claim or appear to be an expert on a certain topic or product or service area, I will only endorse products or services that I believe, based on my expertise, are worthy of such endorsement. Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer or provider.
This blog does not contain any content which might present a conflict of interest.
This policy is valid from 04 January 2011.
